As the jaw socket begins to wear, this will create popping or cracking sounds as it moves in and out of the socket. Because the joint is not fitting into the socket properly so to speak, this action causes the jaw to wear away tissue over a period of years. Thus you have the beginning of a very painful TMJ condition. Correcting the very severe TMJ conditions many times needs the skills of a surgeon, and an orthodontists. In addition a chiropractor who does cranial work to reset the cranial bones of the skull into their proper place, rebalance the muscles that were in spasm, and retrain the brain for the new pattern that leaves the old trauma behind. New tissue has to be built to replace damaged and worn out tissues. There is a nutritional program that needs to provide the basic building block to restructure the damaged tissue. After completing a rebuilding program, now the TMJ has a better chance of functioning more normally, pain free, and make you a happier camper!.
